Trident was founded by Percival Spencer (Seabee) and C.Y. Herbst. Sold to Trident Aircraft Co., Vancouver, B.C. who changed the name to Tri-Gull. Manufacturing was at the Pat Bay (Victoria International) Airport on Vancouver Island in the late 1970s. Last word is that the design is now owned by Viking Air of Victoria.
