The Artex ELT 110-4
product line is our original ELT system. It is present in many new
aircraft, and is also sold in the general aviation market. It also has the
capability to be upgraded to the powerful ELT 110-406 MHz system that is
popular in many corporate, commercial, and military aircraft around the
world.
There are three different options available in this
product:
Standard
ELT 110-4:
The Artex ELT 110-4 is our standard fixed-wing beacon. It
posseses a standard "G" switch that self-activates the ELT on impact. In
addition it comes complete with an antenna (Wire Whip, Rod, or Blade,
depending on speed of aircraft), mounting bracket, coax cable, remote
switch, installation kit, battery pack, and operations manual. TSO C91A
approved.
ELT 110-6:
Portable Version:
The ELT 110-6 posseses all the same properties of the ELT
110-4, and in addition has a portable antenna attached to it. Many pilots
prefer to have the option of removing the ELT from its mounting bracket in
order to carry it away from the crash sight. The portable antenna is
located in a lanyard on the side of the ELT, and it can be attached to the
BNC connector on the front of the unit. This product is also TSO C91A
approved.
ELT 100HM:
Helicopter Version :
The 100HM is installed by many helicopter OEMs in the field. It
is also sold in many aftermarket applications. This beacon shares all the
same properties of the ELT 110-4 except for one major difference. This
beacon is equipped with a six axis"G" switch. As you may know helicopter
crashes rarely occur head first. There are six, seperate switches located
within the beacon, so it has the capability of activating at any angle in
which the helicopter impacts the ground. This beacon is also TSO C91A
approved.
